Reading at Twilight

Reading at Twilight

The vanishing wife
When I'm reading at night
The love of my life
Seeks refuge at twilight

My words float on air
Painting scenes so clever
Heroines so fair
Smart villains debonair

And when I am done
Recitation complete
I find I'm the one
Finding my words so sweet

Reading at twilight
Till wife shuts out the light

  1. I really like this poem. But, of course, I'm partial to me. :-)
