April Poetry

April is National Poetry Month, and we print submitted poems here for your enjoyment.

Stolen Eyes
by
Leslie Selbst

I’m sorry, I thought only to borrow your eyes,
I took them when you were asleep,
I sought to see were you had been
and planned to return them before you’d wake,
but your life was so much more interesting than mine
that I kept them.
