NC ARTS COUNCIL FELLOWSHIPS
Applications are now being accepted for $10,000 fellowships
for writers, offered by the North Carolina Arts Council. Categories include
prose (fiction and creative non-fiction), poetry, and
playwrighting/screenwriting. The deadline is November 1, 2016. To qualify,
applicants must have been North Carolina residents for the year leading up to
the deadline date; must be physically present in the state for the majority of
the grant period (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018), and must not be enrolled in a
degree-granting program at the time of application.
The primary criteria for consideration is the artistic merit
of the applicants’ work.
