Arts Council Fellowships



NC ARTS COUNCIL FELLOWSHIPS

Applications are now being accepted for $10,000 fellowships for writers, offered by the North Carolina Arts Council. Categories include prose (fiction and creative non-fiction), poetry, and playwrighting/screenwriting. The deadline is November 1, 2016. To qualify, applicants must have been North Carolina residents for the year leading up to the deadline date; must be physically present in the state for the majority of the grant period (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018), and must not be enrolled in a degree-granting program at the time of application.

The primary criteria for consideration is the artistic merit of the applicants’ work.

Writers' Morning Out

Pittsboro Writers' Morning Out will meet on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 PM

Program: "Why not read some poetry" with Ralph Earle, poet and instructor in the Creative Writing Program at CCCC.

All writers, any genre are invited.

Come early if you plan to have lunch.
