Writers' Morning Out

Pittsboro Writers’ Morning Out will meet Saturday, August 8 2015, 1:00 PM.

We meet at the Carolina Brewery in the Barley Lounge.  120 Lowes Drive, #100 .

Program : Revision: What or who tells me I need a revision? Come prepared to add your experience to the discussion.

All writers, any genre are invited. Come early and join us for lunch.

The NCWN turns 30 this year.  It has over 1200 members throughout NC and the adjoining states. Its goal, as established then, has not changed but continues to provide community, opportunity and excellence for all writers, at all levels.

The network is far too young to let our joints get stiff and creaky, or to get too set in our ways  It needs much more to do, to be, to try. For this it needs help from all its members. This year we are asking all of our members to give $30 or More for 30 and More: a donation of $30 (or more) to make sure the North Carolina Writers' Network is around for another 30 years (or more).

You may make your donation by check sent to NCWN, PO Box 21591, Winston-Salem, 27120 or by credit card at www.ncwriters.org or by calling 336-293-8844 or 919-308-3228.

Thank you for being a part of the Network's first 30 years, and for helping us look forward to the next 30.

Up the Stairs Poetry

Up The Stairs Poetry Event at the Carolina Artists’ Colony at 148 S Moore St in downtown Sanford
this Saturday 7/25/15 at 3pm. The Colony is a huge shop with 10 ground floor rooms filled floor to ceilingwith the jewelry, pottery, art, and craft of 100+ NC artists.

The Poetry event will LITERALLY be Up The Stairs on the 2nd floor. (There’s no working elevator, thus the name of the event!) Anyway, we have three featured poets who will start the program by each reading for 10-15 minutes or so and then we’ll have open mic readings.

Here’s the info from the Colony’s Facebook page.
