Haiku Presentation & Workshop: 3:00 - 4:40 pm

Mystery Writers' Reading

On Wednesday, October 30, from 7-8 PM, come and enjoy an evening of readings and discussion by local mystery authors at the Chatham Community Library. Guests will include Carolyn Miller, author of Murder in the Old Courthouse; Nora Esthimer, author of Until Proven and Time of Death; Rick Bylina, author of One Promise Too Many and other works; and more!

Aspiring mystery authors are warmly invited. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. For more information, call the library at (919) 545-8084.

Make an evening of it: a farm-to-table dinner is served at the Natural Chef Cafe at 6 pm for a reasonable price. Space is limited and reservations are accepted at (919) 545-8076. The Natural Chef Cafe is adjacent to the library on the campus of Central Carolina Community College.


The Chatham Community Library is located at 197 NC Highway 87 North in Pittsboro.

Writers' Morning Out


Pittsboro Writers’ Morning Out will meet Saturday, October 12, 1:00 PM at Pittsboro Roadhouse.  We will be in the back room. Come early if you are having lunch there.

All writers, any genre are invited.

Writing Assignment:  Last month members read their thought on How They Write.  These proved to be most interesting and thoughtful.  The subject this month is “Critique”.  You have a new work almost ready for publication.  Given a free choice, who would you pick to do the final critique?  Why?

CCCC Meet and Greet Instructors

CCCC Creative Writing will host a meet and greet the instructors, Friday, October 11 starting at 7:00 PM.  Instructors will be reading from their work.  Admission is free, refreshments will be served.
